Franklin Indians Advance to State Championship After Big Win Over Glenelg Gladiators
They did it again! Franklin Indians are bound for the state football finals after 3A playoff win.

The Franklin Indians will head to the state football championship next weekend for the third time in four years.
The Indians beat the Glenelg Gladiators Friday, 30-7, in the 3A state semifinals, according to the Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association (MPSSAA).
In next weekend's state championship, the Indians will take on the top-seeded Damascus Hornets, the Montgomery County-based team that won the 2015 state title.

The 3A state championship game will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

The Indians won the state championship in 2013 and 2014.

Last year Franklin made it to the regional finals but fell to Dundalk, which ended up second in the state after the Damascus Hornets took the 2015 title.
