To culminate their study of migratory birds, Jemicy 4th grade students spent a day at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore sharing with zoo visitors their acquired knowledge of species that can be spotted in our region. With the help of the colorful, informative displays they each created, the students took on the role of teachers, as they enlightened the interested and curious audience. This long partnership with the Maryland Zoo provides Jemicy students with a valuable learning experience and enhances the zoo’s outreach efforts to thousands of visitors.
