'Khaki Pants Bandit' Apprehended: Reports
Armed robber was suspected in dozens of holdups in Baltimore County, Baltimore City.

A man suspected in nearly 50 armed robberies in Baltimore County and Baltimore City who was known as the “Khaki Pants Bandit” has been arrested, according to WJZ.
At a press conference Friday, Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson and Baltimore City Police Commissioner Anthony Batts announced that Stanley Macklin had been apprehended. He was suspected in a series of commercial robberies and dubbed one of Baltimore’s ”Most Wanted” this winter.
Macklin went into convenience stores and coffee shops, acted as though she was going to make a purchase, then showed the cashier he had a gun at the last moment before leaving with a bag of money, according to The Baltimore Sun. He allegedly robbed the High’s store on Liberty Road in Randallstown, the Dunkin’ Donuts on Wilkens Avenue near Arbutus and several other locations.

Macklin was arrested on Thursday while meeting with his parole officer related to a previous armed robbery, according to WNEW.
Johnson said that “citizens, technology and a lot of police legwork” contributed to the arrest. A citizen tip on Macklin’s license plate led authorities to him, WBAL reported.
The FBI worked with police in the investigation, and officials may pursue federal charges against Macklin, according to ABC 2 News.
