Memorial Day Ceremony

On Memorial Day, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will be conducting a wreath-laying ceremony at the Reisterstown Community Cemetery.  The ceremony will honor fallen soldiers who served in America's conflicts, with the wreath placed at the grave of Civil War Private John Neel of the 8th Maryland Infantry Regiment.  The graves of all of the Veterans, from the Revolutionary War through World War II, will be marked with American flags.  Afterward, Cemetery Committee members will be on hand for tours.
