New Urgent Care Facility Opens on Main Street
MyCare Express prides itself on making patients feel warm and welcomed.

Although the expression "fast and friendly service" may not go hand-in-hand with the medical profession, that’s exactly the kind of care Bettina Adjei plans on delivering when her urgent medical care facility opens its doors to the public this morning.
MyCare Express, which fills the vacant spot left by at the Reisterstown Village shopping center, marked its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday afternoon.
Adjei, the facility’s president and medical director, says she knows customers appreciate the convenience and family atmosphere offered at MyCare Express.

“People really like our take on health care,” said Adjei, who, along with her husband George (the technology guru), opened their first location in Eldersburg about three years ago.
“I know a lot of people who go and see physicians and feel they might be a bit standoffish—they don’t try to work with them as a patient—but we’ve really tried to change the culture of that. We want people to feel like this is their home.”

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, patients can come in without an appointment and receive treatment for an array of medical ailments from pneumonia and bronchitis to sprained ankles and skin lacerations.
Folks do also have the option of scheduling an appointment by calling the office or logging on to its website.
The state-of-the-art facility offers six exams rooms, an X-Ray room and two observation bays for patients to sit comfortably and watch television during extended care situations. Treatments are performed by a qualified group of doctors and physician’s assistants that you’re likely to find in a local hospital—only here, it costs less to see them, Adjei says.
MyCare Express also prides itself on taking note of patient’s comments and suggestions. That’s how it came to introduce its convenient and practical call-back system. People who have already signed in can leave their contact info with the front desk personnel, take care of other business and errands outside and then receive a call to return 15 minutes before they are seen.
Not only does the addition of the facility eliminate an empty location, it gives the northern section of Main Street a convenient place to receive urgent medical care.
“I think it’s a perfect fit,” said Brian Ditto, executive director of the ROMG Chamber of Commerce. “I think people from Reisterstown will definitely appreciate having the customer service aspect and kind of mitigating the cold, clinical approach that comes with a lot of hospitals and doctors. I think it’s a win-win for the community.”
