OWINGS MILLS, MD — Pumpkins are showing up at grocery stores and roadside stands as Halloween creeps closer. If your family has a visit planned to a local pumpkin patch in Owings Mills or Reisterstown this weekend, we have a list of stands open in the area. And here’s a look at the Columbus Day weekend weather forecast to help you plan your trip.

Temperatures will be mild, with highs in the upper 60s Thursday and Friday, warming to the low 70s Saturday, Sunday and Monday, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Owings Mills.

Friday is expected to be clear, then the rest of the weekend carries a risk of rain. There's a slight chance of showers Saturday. The likelihood of rain increases Sunday into Sunday night, when there is a 70 percent chance of rain. On Columbus Day, there is a 70 percent chance of rain during the day. Lows will be around 56 Friday and 60 Saturday and Sunday.
