Owings Mills Bank Among 12 Robbed By 'Mod Squad': FBI
The FBI has dubbed four bank robbers the "Mod Squad" due to their attire, and they have robbed an Owings Mills bank during their spree.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — The FBI is investigating 12 bank robberies over the past three months that authorities believe can be linked to one group. Among the targets was a bank in Owings Mills that was robbed on April 11, officials said.
There is a reward for information about the four suspects dubbed the "Mod Squad" by investigators. According to the FBI, the group is a "younger crew that uses a variety of clothing styles and sunglasses" to conceal their identities.
Investigators believe the group was responsible for a bank robbery at 2 p.m. Saturday in Baltimore City and tried to rob the BB&T in Pikesville at noon on Saturday, June 15, but that attempt failed.

These are the locations where banks have been robbed in the spree, the FBI reports:
- Severn: March 26
- Baltimore: March 29 (two), April 4, June 6, June 11, June 15
- Essex: April 8
- Parkville: April 8
- Owings Mills: April 11
- Pikesville: April 11
- Catonsville: June 12
In the robberies, officials said that one would act as a lookout in the bank while another would go up to the teller, present a note with the demand and leave with cash in a variety of types of vehicles.

There are two women and two men in the robbery crew, according to the FBI, which described them as follows:
- Heavy black woman in her mid 20s to mid 30s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall
- Heavy black woman in her mid 20s to mid 30s, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall
- Slim to medium-built black man with facial hair on his chin in his mid 20s to mid 30s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall
- Slim to medium black man in his 20s who is 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall
Anyone with information is asked to call 410-265-8080 or submit a tip to the FBI online. There is a $5,000 reward.
