Randallstown Library Sets Reopening Date

The Baltimore County Public Library has announced plans to reopen the Randallstown branch.

RANDALLSTOWN, MD — After extensive renovations, the Randallstown branch of the Baltimore County Public Library will reopen on Thursday, June 29.

The 50-year-old library has been closed since January for updating. The branch, which library officials described as popular, attracts approximately 300,000 visitors annually.

When it reopens, the Randallstown branch will have the following amenities:

  • Larger, enclosed children's area
  • Technology center with state-of-the-art equipment
  • Print and audiovisual library materials
  • Laptop bars and free wi-fi
  • More than 30 public computers
  • Four study rooms
  • Meeting room that can be reserved
  • Comfortable seating
  • New shelving
  • Updated restrooms

Doors open to the public at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with county and library officials is set for 11:30 a.m. The Randallstown branch is at 8604 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.

Funds for the $1 million renovation came from Baltimore County; the Maryland State Department of Education; and the County Library Capital Grant Program.
