Reynolds' Farm Holds 6th Annual Corn Roast This Weekend

The annual event features a variety of activities for the whole family and a chance to mingle with elected officials.

All it took was two friends sitting around a campfire to come up with an event that became a Reisterstown tradition.

This Saturday, Oct. 1, the will hold the sixth annual to benefit Maryland’s Republican Party.

The Corn Roast was originally started as a fundraiser for former Gov. Bob Ehrlich. Tammy Larkin, chairperson of the Corn Roast PAC, said that the event is a bit smaller this year since there’s no big local election this year, but she and the other organizers wanted to keep the growing tradition alive.

The event features a variety of kids’ activities, a stocked menu, live music by Release and, of course, a corn eating contest.

Tickets to the Corn Roast are $25 for adults, $10 for ages 13 to 17 and free for kids 12 and under. They can be purchased at the door or online.
