Shelter Managers Locked Up on Giving Tuesday in Reisterstown
Two staffers at the Baltimore Humane Society are caged until a fundraising goal is reached.
REISTERSTOWN, MD — One Baltimore County nonprofit is making a statement Tuesday by locking up two of its staffers in cages as part of a fundraiser.
Baltimore Humane Society Shelter Program Director Katie Dixon will be locked in a cat cage and Dog Kennel Manager Cindy Keeney will be trapped inside a dog run until the organization reaches its fundraising goal for "Giving Tuesday."
When the Baltimore Humane Society has attained $15,000 in donations, the combination to the cat cage and dog run will be activated to free Dixon and Keeney, respectively.

The event coincides with Giving Tuesday, which celebrates philanthropy the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to boost donations for causes before the year's end.
