Threat At Woodlawn High School Follows Knife Incident: Reports
Police have responded to at least two incidents in two days at Woodlawn High School, according to reports.

WOODLAWN, MD — A threat at Woodlawn High School is under investigation. The social media threat on Wednesday referenced something that happened at the school the previous day, according to WBAL Radio, which said a girl faces disciplinary action as result.
On Tuesday, a student at Woodlawn High School was found with a knife, Fox 45 reported.
It is not the first time that violence has been made threatened at the school in the 1800 block of Woodlawn Drive. In January 2017, a student was hospitalized after a stabbing at Woodlawn High School.

Recently, schools across the nation have been on high alert since 17 people were killed and more than a dozen were injured in a Valentine's Day shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Threats to schools, many of them turning out to be unsubstantiated, have skyrocketed.

According to The Educator's School Safety Network, there have been 797 school-based threats or violent incidents in the U.S. since the Parkland shooting — an average of 72.5 per school day. In all, 985 schools 53 states/territories have been threatened or had actual violence happen, according to the group.
