Roadwork on Dolfield Boulevard and Painters Mill Road will begin this year.

Roadwork on Dolfield Boulevard and Painters Mill Road will begin this year.

The work on Dolfield Boulevard, beginning this July, will connect Reisterstown Road to Red Run Boulevard and the Owings Mills Town Center. Spanning from 795 to Reisterstown Road, the $6.5 million project is intended to relieve traffic, according to county engineers. Road closings are not expected during the two-year construction, but traffic may be diverted, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Additionally, public works will be replacing the deck of the Painters Mill Road Bridge over Gwynn Falls in Owings Mills. According to Baltimore County structural engineers, the $2 million project will take a year and a half to complete. During this time, traffic will be maintained with three open lanes.
