UPDATE: Big Lots Opens Sept. 23, Planet Fitness in November
When the store opens in what used to house Ames, it will end years of vacancy in the large space at the Reisterstown Shopping Center.
After months of construction and renovations, the will open on Sept. 23 in the Reisterstown Shopping Center.
The space has been vacant for years, and the shopping center’s operator hopes the new addition will bring some new traffic to the area.
Bob Pollokoff, president of shopping center operator Fedder Management Corp., said the owners of the that will be opening next to Big Lots hope to open doors in early November.
The remainder of the north strip at the Reisterstown Shopping Center will be demolished once BGE cuts the gas lines, Pollokoff said. The Big Lots and Planet Fitness are taking over a 50,000 square-foot space, with Big Lots taking approximately two-thirds.
