Water Tower Opposition Mobilizes with Website, Planned Festival Presence
'Communities of Worthington Against the Tower' is seeking legal counsel, starting a new letter-writing campaign and planning a presence at the Reisterstown Festival in September.

As Baltimore Countyβs public works department revisits for a water tower site in the Reisterstown/Owings Mills area, residents continue to rally and organize against the original proposed site.
The newly named βCommunities of Worthington Against the Tower,β a group which mobilized via Facebook, is further cementing its opposition against the proposed site at the corner of Timber Grove Road and Bond Avenue.
The group is seeking legal counsel and starting a new letter writing campaign to public officials while continuing to collect petition signatures, Ayanna Chen said on Facebook. She is one of the groupβs most vocal members, and lives next door to the original proposed site.
The group also plans to march in the Parade on Saturday, Sept. 10, and will have a booth at the festival on Sept. 10 and 11.
A website launched earlier this month summarizes , makes a case against the water tower and has templates for letters to public officials.
The Baltimore County Department of Public Works is expected to complete its evaluation of all possible water sites in September and will present its findings at Octoberβs meeting of the .
