BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Authorities say that they believe foul play is involved in the disappearance of a woman from Milford Mill. Police asked for help from the community in locating her and her vehicle, which is also missing.

"We don't know where she is," Mccullough said. "We've made every attempt to locate her."

Officials would not disclose any details about who was driving the vehicle when it was last seen due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Police had reported publicly that Melvin was missing Tuesday, and on Wednesday, the Baltimore County Police Department renewed the call for tips and deployed officers to canvass the neighborhood, where the press conference was held Wednesday afternoon.
"We have all of our resources including our regional auto theft task force, our carjacking team and aviation out looking for both her and her vehicle," Mccullough said. "We're asking for the public's help in this case. It's critical also because she has some minor health issues that we're concerned about."
Melvin is 5 feet 2 inches tall and 120 pounds and has a rose tattoo on her body, police said.
"Today we're out here canvassing the neighborhood, and we're asking the community for their help as we work to locate Charla and also find her vehicle," Hyatt said.
Family members at the press conference asked people to share information about Charla's disappearance with their social networks.
Charla is a mother and grandmother of four who is loved by many, according to her cousin and friend Dena Fischer, who said: "We're hoping that you can do whatever you can and step forward in searching and in prayer help to lift up this investigation."
"This is very unusual for her, so please keep us in your thoughts and prayers," her daughter, Marquitta Rose, said at a press conference Wednesday.
"Our top priority is Charla and bringing her home," Chief Hyatt said. "There is enough that has come up in the investigation that we are concerned that there has been foul play." She could not provide more detail due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, stating: "Currently we have a lot of questions on this case."
