Woman Holding Baby Killed In Owings Mills Parking Lot Crash: PD

Police have confirmed one person died in the crash Saturday night in the Owings Mills Target parking lot, and a baby was injured.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Police said that a woman was killed and her 11-month-old granddaughter was injured Saturday in a crash in Owings Mills. The deadly crash occurred in the parking lot in front of Target, where the woman was standing holding her granddaughter when she was hit by a car, according to officials.

Ravinder Rao, 67, of Grist Stone Way in Owings Mills, had just gotten out of her 2010 Nissan Sentra when her car was hit, and then she was hit, by a 2014 Nissan Altima that was pulling away from the store, police said.

The Sentra had run into Rao's vehicle, which was legally parked, police said. She was hit by the impact of that crash, and then the Sentra continued on, hitting Rao directly and causing her to fall to the ground, according to officials.
