Missing Man Found Dead In His Home: Police

Police said a 94-year-old Parkville man who was reported missing was found deceased.

PARKVILLE, MD — Police said the man who was reported missing in Parkville on Wednesday has been found deceased. It was believed that his death was accidental, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities said Johnnie Russell Gobeli, 94, was located inside his garage in the 8400 block of Kings Ridge Road, where he was found deceased under his car.

When Gobeli was reported missing on Wednesday, officials searched extensively for him and were called back to his residence on Thursday after the body was located there, according to police.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

PREVIOUS REPORT — Authorities are asking for help finding a 94-year-old man who is missing. He was last seen walking in the Parkville area at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11.

Police said that when he disappeared, Johnnie Gobeli left his car running in the driveway with perishable groceries inside.

He was last seen in the area of Kings Ridge Road at Michels Lane, according to officials.

Police said Gobeli was wearing glasses, a light blue shirt and dark blue dress pants when he disappeared.

He is described as 5-feet-6-inches tall and 150 pounds.
