Earlier this month, Baltimore County homicide detectives traveled to North Carolina for the extradition of 29-year-old Ayanna Michelle Allen of the 2100 block of Penrose Ave., 21223. Allen was wanted in connection to the homicide of 43-year-old Lashawnda Sanders. On November 29, 2020, Sanders’ lifeless body was discovered inside a local hotel in the 400 block of Reisterstown Rd., 21208.

Over the past nine months, detectives have worked with the community and continued to actively follow up on new leads as they were presented. This case marks the sixth homicide that occurred in a previous year Baltimore County homicide detectives have closed in 2021.
