
The 9th annual BARCStoberfest, the largest annual fundraiser for BARCS (the Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter, Inc.) is set for this Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Patterson Park. More than 5,000 are expected to take part in the event.
The day is full of events of every sort, from the active to the sedentary. BARCS has paired with Charm City Run for the Second Annual 5k Ready...Set…Sniff!!! Owners and their dogs will compete in a 5k run or 1 mile walk through Patterson Park while raising funds to benefit the 12,000 homeless animals that find their way to BARCS each year.
In addition to the run/walk, the day will feature vendors, pet daycare operators and veterinarians. There will be food, entertainment, pet activities, micro-chipping and even a pet costume contest.
