Baskets Bring Cheer to Oak Crest Employee Teams
A way to say "thank you" and begin 2017 on a positive note; Erickson Living retirement community employs more than 1,200 staff members

Parkville, Maryland—There are baskets of cheer, and then there are baskets that bring cheer!
On January 4, the Leadership Team of Oak Crest acted on the latter as it filled, decorated and then distributed 63 baskets filled with goodies and winter time essentials to employee teams throughout its independent living and extended care neighborhoods. The baskets included stress balls, flash lights, ice scrapers, lip balm, eye cloths, snacks and candy.
Tina Kummelman, Human Resources Director at Oak Crest, said it was all part of starting the new year on a positive tone.

“Along with the treats and items, each basket contained a personalized thank you note to the team,” described Ms. Kummelman. “We wanted to express our appreciation to each service team for a wonderful 2016 in serving the residents and living our mission. Now, we’re all back from the holidays ready for another great year!”
