Pies Really Are Dangerously Delicious (2 pie recipes)
I bet as you were growing up someone you loved and cared about made a pie that you always looked forward to right? Well these two aspects are exactly what Dangerously Delicious does!

There is something about comfort food that just makes you go "Mmmmm!" I bet as you were growing up someone you loved and cared about made a pie that you always looked forward to right? Well these two aspects are exactly what Dangerously Delicious does!
Owned by local rocker Rodney Henry and featured on TV shows like Down Home with the Neely’s, Throw Down with Bobby Flay, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Guilty Pleasure and Pie Paradise, Dangerously Delicious' menu of pies will satisfy any customer craving for either sweet or savory.
For us it has become an addiction that started with visiting the Baltimore City Farmer’s Market on Sunday mornings where we would buy 5 mini pies for $20 – which would always pick 5 different flavors! So now we purchase these each visit and plus from time visit the store to buy whole pies.

The menu is host to a wide variety of sweet and savory pies like the Baltimore Bomb made with loaded with Berger Cookies (yes you read that right- a Baltimore treat and specialty) or the Crab and Cheddar.
One of my favorite easy dinners is to actually have pie as the main dish and then pie for dessert – and this is what we did the other night. We started off with the Pork BBQ ($35 for whole pie) and then ended with the Lemon Chess.

The Pork BBQ is a slow roasted pulled pork butt with onions, bell peppers and their homemade BBQ sauce baked into a pie. The flavor is sweet with a nice spicy finish like a good BBQ has! Not only is the BBQ Pork full of flavor but also the crust they use for the pies is buttery and perfect on its own! The price for this whole pie may scare you but honestly there has to be entire large pork roast in that pie!
Now our go to sweet pie that we just LOVE is the Lemon Chess ($28 for whole pie). This orgasmic pie is made with lemon zest, lemon juice, sugar, eggs, buttermilk and a little bit of cornmeal. This pie is full of flavor and I am not talking about artificial lemon or a bitter bite but a sweet gooey lemon flavor! My mouth just waters talking about it (don’t forget about that crust too!)
Now if by chance they wouldn’t have had the Lemon Chess (when I called that day to check on what they had they only had one left and of course I told them to put my name on it) we would have gone with our second favorite: the White Trash Creme Brulee.
I now completely understand the name Dangerously Delicious because once you start eating you can’t stop!
Tip: Stop by the stand at the Farmer’s Market and get the 5 for $20 so you can start sampling and find your favorites! Also keep and eye out for the Dangerously Delicious Pie Truck!!!!
