Living Dead in Dallas, by Charlaine Harris

I finally joined the Sookie Stackhouse/ True Blood revolution, and picked up a copy of Living Dead in Dallas, what looks to be the second book in the series penned by Charlaine Harris. I've heard good things about the television show from people at the gym, but never actually watched True Blood or read the books they were based on.
It's.... interesting so far, if slightly scary. Sookie got attacked by a maenad who wanted to send a message to her boyfriend's boss, discovered the body of a friend and coworker in the car of someone who hated her because she was telepathic, and was almost kidnapped while on business in Dallas to discover what happened to the friend and brother of a Dallas nest of vampires. I also found out where the tv show gets its name.
