Man Killed In Route 40 Crash In Rosedale: Police

A vehicle reportedly overturned on Pulaski Highway in Rosedale Monday morning.

ROSEDALE, MD — A driver died in a crash less than 0.5 mile from his home in Rosedale Monday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Wayne Alan Thompson, 40, of the 1200 block of Neighbors Avenue, had been headed west on US 40/Pulaski Highway when his 2005 Ford Excursion left the road before 6 a.m., police said. Authorities responded to US 40 at Batavia Farm Road, where Thompson's SUV had crashed.

Police said Thompson was pronounced deceased at the scene in the 8200 block of Pulaski Highway, where the vehicle came to rest.

The vehicle had flipped, WBAL reported.

According to police, the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.

PREVIOUS REPORT — A crash that was reportedly deadly closed US 40/Pulaski Highway in Rosedale Monday morning.

The single-vehicle collision happened on Pulaski Highway at Batavia Farm Road before 6:30 a.m., ABC 2 News reported.

A vehicle flipped, killing at least one person, according to WBAL, which reported crash reconstruction teams were at the scene before 7 a.m.
