Incident On Loch Raven Bus Leads To Arrest: Report

A Baltimore County school bus had an unauthorized rider last week who is now facing charges.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man has been charged after authorities said he jumped onto a school bus filled with children from Loch Raven Technical Academy. The man reportedly clung to the front of the moving bus once a bottle was thrown at his car.

Leverne Doran was taken into custody in the area of Putty Hill at Hoerner Avenue 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, according to Fox 45.

First, Doran tried to get in through the bus door, but the driver declined to open it for safety reasons, Fox 45 reported. The man then grabbed onto the front of the vehicle, which headed for the Parkville precinct.

A video that appeared to have been created from inside the bus, behind the driver, showed a man in an NRA hat hanging onto the exterior mirror and hood of the bus, banging his fist, shaking his finger and yelling.

"Open the door!" the man later identified as Doran yelled.

"Get off the bus!" the bus driver said on the video.

An off-duty officer in the area intervened, and Doran was arrested, Baltimore County Police Sgt. Andrea Bylen told WBAL.

According to the TV station, the children were unharmed.
