Marks: Cromwell Bridge Road Closed Aug. 13
In an email to Patch, Marks said the road would be closed Saturday to allow BGE to remove some dangerous trees.

A section of Cromwell Bridge Road will close down this weekend as utility company BGE works to remove two trees that have been deemed hazardous to BGE facilities and the roadway, according to an email from Fifth District Councilman David Marks.
Removing the trees will require BGE to use a crane—the crane itself is as wide as the road—so the roadway will be closed between Oakleigh and Satyr Hill roads from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Aug. 13, the email said.
If heavy rain keeps crews from working on Saturday, Sunday Aug. 14 is set aside as a backup work day.

BGE spokeswoman Linda Foy confirmed the closure via email, saying that "BGE is removing two hazardous trees along Cromwell Bridge Rd. on Saturday, Aug. 13, weather permitting. [The] work is part of ... routine tree trimming and removal work ... necessary to maintain proper clearances around our 115,000 volt transmission line, which serves approximately 50,000 Towson-area customers."

I wanted to let you know of a road closure in the Parkville/Towson area. BGE will be removing two trees along Cromwell Bridge Road that have been deemed hazardous to the road and to BGE facilities.
In order to effectively facilitate their removal, BGE will need to use a crane. Because of the width of the crane and the size of the working area, the road will be fully closed during the time the crane will be in operation.
As a result, Cromwell Bridge Road between Oakleigh Road and Satyr Hill Road will be closed on Saturday, August 13th. If heavy rain precludes working on the 13th, August 14th will be used as a backup day. My understanding is that the work will begin at 9 a.m., and wrap-up by 4 p.m. Signs will be posted a few days before the closure.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but wanted to let you know about this as soon as I found out about it.
