Occupy Marchers Change Route, Skip Parkville

A Thursday morning announcement on the group's blog indicates a Thursday stop in Havre de Grace before continuing down Route 40 to Baltimore.

While it originally looked like Occupy Wall Street protesters participating in the Occupy the Highway march from New York to Washington, D.C., might make a stop in Parkville, the news Thursday morning is that the route has changed.

The protesters were planning to spend some time in Bel Air before taking Harford Road south into the city, where they would meet up with Occupy Baltimore, Patch reported yesterday.

A post on the group's blog this morning indicates that plans have changed.

"We have decided collectively to change this route, based on pertinent information we were given. We will be in Havre de Grace tonight which is roughly 20 miles from Newark. We will be in the Joppatowne vicinity tomorrow night," according to the blog entry.
