• 25 years after 9/11: Remembrance events planned across Maryland (wmar2news.com) — Parkville residents have two major local ways to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 this week, both centered on Putty Hill Avenue. The 15th Annual Path of Honor lines the roadway with 2,977 flags, and a Sept. 11 candlelight vigil at 2531 Putty Hill Ave. will feature honor guards, music, special guests, and readings of Marylanders' names.
