Residents at Oak Crest Champion Education Through Annual Student Scholarship Program

Thirty-nine local high school seniors preparing to graduate this spring were recently named Student Scholars at Oak Crest

Thirty-nine local high school seniors preparing to graduate this spring were recently named Student Scholars at the 30th annual Scholars Award ceremony at Oak Crest, an Erickson Senior Living community in Parkville, MD.

These hardworking student employees, who served as servers and hosts across Oak Crest on-campus dining venues, were honored for their dedication and commitment. Their achievements are supported by scholarships funded by generous contributions from community residents, helping position these students for continued success. In total, 39 students received donor-designated scholarships totaling $123,000.

To recognize their hard work and propel their promising futures, Oak Crest residents generously contributed to the Scholars Fund, awarding these student employees up to $20,000, paid over the course of their education, for use at traditional colleges, universities, or trade schools.

"Our student team members show dedication as they balance their academics and create a lasting impact in our community," said Executive Director Todd Sullivan. " Our scholarship program thrives because of the incredible generosity of our residents, and the positive impact it leaves on our students."

To qualify for a four-year scholarship, students must work a minimum number of hours, remain in good academic and professional standing, and plan to attend a college, university, or trade school full-time.
