Shooting Near Parkville Exxon Injures 1: Police

After a man was shot and wounded in Parkville, authorities say there may be a reward for information.

PARKVILLE, MD — One person was injured in a shooting in Parkville on Wednesday afternoon near a gas station, according to police. Officials said that the gunman was at large, and anyone with information was encouraged to contact the Baltimore County Police Department.

Employees at the Exxon near McClean Boulevard at Cleanleigh Drive called 911 at 12:32 p.m. to report hearing shots fired and a man screaming, according to authorities. Responding officers found a man who was shot at least once in the lower body.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived, and authorities said they were working on getting a description of the gunman.

"The investigation is still in the preliminary stages, and police urge anyone who may have witness the shooting or have any information regarding this incident to contact police," officials said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
