Man Shot Walking In Neighborhood: Baltimore County Police

Police said a man was hospitalized after a shooting in Baltimore County Wednesday night.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A shooting injured a man Wednesday night, the Baltimore County Police Department reported. The 23-year-old man said he had been walking when he heard the gunfire, then realized that he had been shot.

Officers were called to Whitby Road near Van Dyke Road, where he had knocked on a resident's door for help around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

He was taken to a local hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the lower body, police said. His injury was believed to be non-life-threatening.

Anyone who heard gunshots or saw anything out of the ordinary is asked to call the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020.
