Victim's Stepson Charged in Parkville Murder: Police
Authorities allege a man and his stepmother were arguing when he stabbed her.

PARKVILLE, MD – A 27-year-old has been charged in the death of his mother in their Parkville home, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Philip Minhyung Cho has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police reported.

Cho, who lived with his father and stepmother in an apartment in the unit block of Luddy Court, allegedly got into an argument with his stepmother and stabbed her multiple times with a knife, according to police.
When officers were called to the residence after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday for an assault, police said the victim—Haw Sun Kim, 61—was declared deceased at the scene.

Cho had left the apartment before police arrived, officials said. Court records show he was taken into custody Wednesday.
