I'm excited to welcome you to our Girl Scout Troop 10071 blog for the 2013-2014 school year. Troop 10071 is a group of 12 fantastic 4th-5th grade girls at Carney Elementary and other area schools. We have had an exciting start to our school year so far. The girls earned their camping badge and went horseback riding at Waredaca Farm in September. We are also earning our Practice with Purpose badge by working towards running 1 mile or a 5k! This week we will start our Scribe badge. Our first writing activity will be cookie haikus so stay tuned for those poems later this week! We would love to hear ideas for community projects and appropriate comments from the community. Please keep in mind that comments should be appropriate for the girls to read. Cookie booth information will be posted in the next few weeks. Booths open on November 16th.
