14 Elementary Students Accidentally Pepper-Sprayed: Police

PERRY HALL, MD โ€” Fourteen students from the Vincent Farm Elementary School were hospitalized on Wednesday after pepper spray was deployed on a school bus.

A release issued by the Baltimore County Police Department said the students were taken to an area hospital "after experiencing the effects of the spray."

Police were alerted to the incident just after 9:30 a.m., responding to the 6000 block of Ebenezer Road in White Marsh, where they say the spray had been deployed on a school bus.

An investigation at the scene revealed that a student had found the pepper spray device at a bus stop just before boarding the school bus.

"A preliminary investigation indicates the deployment of the spray was not intentional or malicious in nature," reads the release.

A letter sent to parents by Vincent Farm Elementary School Principal Jamie Basignani states that the student will face disciplinary action, Fox45 reported.
