2-Alarm Fire in Fallston; Baltimore County Crews Respond

Crews from Harford and Baltimore counties—including Kingsville and White Marsh—worked to contain house fire off MD 165.

FALLSTON, MD — A two-alarm fire blazed Tuesday morning in Fallston, where officials say a section of MD 165/Baldwin Mill Road is closed during the firefighting operations.

Before 10 a.m., firefighters were called to the 2000 block of Baldwin Mill Road and found fire coming from the roof of a residence, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company sent two pieces of equipment to the fire ground and reported its crew was filling in at the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company as well.

The Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company reported that it also sent an engine and tanker to assist.

Harford County firefighters from Bel Air, Jarrettsville and Joppa-Magnolia had crews at the scene too.

By 11 a.m., the fire had been declared under control, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal was investigating, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Route 165 was closed between Putnam Road and Charles Street, and drivers should expect delays in the area.
