3 Perry Hall Area Businesses Sell Winning Lotto Tickets

A Nottingham couple was among 22 winners this week who scored more than $10,000 in prize money, according to the Maryland Lottery.

PERRY HALL, MD โ€” Three people in the Perry Hall area were big winners this week, according to the Maryland Lottery.

A 39-year-old Nottingham resident won more than $20,000 playing the 2020 Cash game.

The man, who works at a restaurant, discovered he won the top prize while his fiancรฉe was in the other room bathing their daughter, officials said.

โ€œI told her, โ€˜This might be big,'" he said to lottery officials. โ€œI really felt that I would hit a big one some day, and here it is!"

His winning ticket, which cost $20 to play, is worth $20,200.

The Nottingham couple plans to put their winnings toward a down payment on a house and will be looking for their new home soon, according to authorities.

For selling a top-prize winner, Belair Liquors in the 7600 block of Belair Road will get $202.

Two area businesses sold lottery tickets worth $10,000 this week too.

J Convenience in the 8700 block of Satyr Hill Road sold a $10,000 winning ticket in the Money Explosion game. It costs $20 to play.

The Golden Ring Giant in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road sold a $10,000 Willy Wonka Golden ticket, which is $10.

This week 22 winners scored more than $10,000 in prize money, according to the Maryland Lottery.
