5 Injured in Jimmy's Seafood Altercation: Police

Five people were hospitalized after an altercation at Jimmy’s Seafood in southeast Baltimore Friday morning, Baltimore Police reported.

Witnesses said that a man, whose identity is currently unknown, was sexually assaulting a woman on the second floor of the restaurant, according to the report.

The suspect was allegedly groping a woman, Fox 45 reported.

When an employee tried to intervene, the assailant got out a knife and assaulted employees and patrons, according to police.

At 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the restaurant in the 6500 block of Holabird Avenue for a reportedcutting, police said.

Five people were wounded with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to police:

• A 29-year-old man was cut in the hand.
• A 27-year-old man was cut on the left thigh and left side of the torso.
• A 24-year-old woman was struck on the nose.
• A 24-year-old man was cut on the neck.
• A 22-year-old man was cut on the wrist and abdomen.

Police said the victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers kept patrons inside the restaurant/bar for several hours to investigate, WJZ reported.
