72,000 Gallons of Sewage Overflowed in White Marsh: Officials
Baltimore County utility crews repaired a section of pipe after spillage was reported.
An eroded concrete casement damaged a sewer line, causing 72,000 gallons of sewage to overflow into a tributary of White Marsh Run this week, according to Baltimore County government.
Utility crews replaced approximately 17 feet of pipe near Cordon Way, east of Honeygo Boulevard, at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, county officials said in a statement.
Recent rains have minimized the impact of the overflow, officials reported.

Still, “...the public is advised to avoid contact with the water in the affected area,” according to the statement.

People who see an overflow are advised to alert the Baltimore County Bureau of Utilities at 410 887-5210.
