Alleged Stalker Tried to Ram Police with SUV: Police
Baltimore County police officers reportedly had to jump out of the way when driver sped toward them.

ROSEDALE, MD – A man accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend is now also facing assault charges after police allege he tried to hit two officers with his vehicle this week.
Victor Jerome Rybak, 48, of the 600 block of South Grundy Street, was driving his Expedition near his ex's house in the unit block of King Richard Court when officers gestured for him to stop his vehicle, and instead he accelerated toward them, police said.
Both officers jumped out of the way, and neither was hurt.

Police said Rybak continued driving south and officers pursued him onto Philadelphia Road, where he crashed into two vehicles and came to a stop by Rossville Boulevard. He was then taken into custody.
The incident began with a call about stalking at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 29. A woman who dated Rybak for two months said that after they split last week, he would not stop coming to her house and calling despite her requests, police reported. When the officers were leaving, they saw a vehicle matching the description of Rybak's—a white Ford Expedition—circling the parking lot, and the situation unfolded.

Rybak has been charged with two counts of first and second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, trespassing on private property, harassment, telephone misuse and multiple traffic offenses (among them, DUI, speeding, eluding police, failure to stop at red light, not wearing seatbelt and others), according to court records.
Rybak was arrested Monday, May 30, court records show. He is being held on $200,000 bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled in the case on June 24 in Baltimore County D
