ESSEX, MD — At least one person was killed in an Essex shooting on Monday morning, according to reports.
The Baltimore County Police Department said officers were dispatched for reports of a shooting at the unit block of Banyan Wood Court around 11:30 a.m.
WBAL reported that helicopter footage showed one person had died at the scene, describing the incident as a double shooting.
A search is ongoing for additional suspects in the case.
Authorities said residents could expect a large police presence on Banyan Wood Court and the areas of E. Homberg Avenue and Bladen Road, as investigators work the scene.
