The Baltimore County Police Department said one of two juveniles was arrested hours after the Monday shooting, as the second was taken into custody after a barricade situation on Tuesday.

Police said the barricade incident took place on the 100 block of Akin Circle in Middle River.

The teenager who was fatally shot earlier this week on the unit block of Bladen Road was identified by police as 17-year-old Roman Wright.

What Happened Monday?

Authorities were initially dispatched to the Essex area for reports of an assault in progress around 12 p.m.

However, by the time police arrived on the scene, they found Wright suffering from a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The Monday shooting is not connected to the double shooting reported at the Waterford Landing Condos in Essex, WBAL reported.

Patch previously reported that the Banyan Wood Court shooting involved a man and a woman, both of whom were found inside a car suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Police responded to the second shooting after receiving reports of a car crash around 11 a.m.

Investigations into both shootings remain ongoing.
