Search Launched For Missing Boater At Middle River Beach

MIDDLE RIVER, MD — A search is underway for a boater who went missing after a wake incident at the Miami Beach Park in Middle River.

The Baltimore County Fire Department said one person had been rescued by first responders but that the search remained for a second individual.

The incident occurred Saturday, with officials called to the waterfront near Seneca Creek around 8 p.m.

WMAR2 reported that the second person was a 57-year-old man who fell from his boat when it hit a wake.

Both dive and marine units are searching the area. Investigators are calling on the public to avoid the area until further notice.
