Baltimore Co. Man Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison In Homeland Security Case

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Jerry Toliver, a 37-year-old Rosedale man, was sentenced to five years in prison for possessing illicit drugs.

A release issued by the U.S. Attorney's Office of Maryland states Toliver was sentenced for possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

In addition to the five-year prison sentence, he will serve three years of supervised release.

Authorities said the Thursday sentencing stems from the Dec. 19, 2024, arrest warrant executed in partnership between Baltimore County and Baltimore City police officers. The warrant was tied to a shooting reported in November 2024.

As the warrant was being executed, investigators found Toliver in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle. In his possession, however, police found oxycodone and traces of cocaine.

A loaded gun and over $3,600 were found in the vehicle following Toliver's arrest. At the time, he was not permitted to possess any firearm due to prior convictions.

Officials said the case was investigated in coordination with the Homeland Security Task Force.
