Baltimore County Public Schools Make Weather Announcement

On Tuesday morning, Baltimore County Public Schools issued the following announcement:

• All schools and offices are opening two hours late.
• Morning prekindergarten is canceled.

The region is under a winter weather advisory for snow until 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snowfall is expected to continue through mid-morning, with 0.5 to 1 inch of additional accumulation falling between 5 and 10 a.m. in some areas, according to the weather service.

Roads, bridges and overpasses may be slippery. The Maryland Transportation Authority advised allowing extra time for those who need to hit the road Tuesday.
