Boy Scouts Help Beautify Perry Hall

Troop 124 planted trees along Ebenezer Road over the weekend.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks provided the following information about a recent scouting project in Perry Hall.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Boy Scout Troop 124 planted eight maple trees along Ebenezer Road at Perry Hall Shopping Center, helping to beautify an important corridor in Perry Hall.

The trees were purchased through a grant from Baltimore County, with the support of the Perry Hall Improvement Association and the Downtown Perry Hall Committee.

County Councilman David Marks, whose son is a member of Troop 124, thanked the scouts for their service to the community, and he acknowledged the excavation work provided by Dow’s Landscaping.

“I would like to thank all those volunteers who came out on a beautiful Saturday morning to improve such a visible part of Downtown Perry Hall,” Marks said. “Two individuals deserve special praise—Diane Hartke from the Downtown Perry Hall Committee and Jim Dow from Dow’s Landscaping.”

Since Councilman Marks passed legislation creating the Perry Hall commercial revitalization district, the community has received grants that have improved landscaping and other features in the area.
