Firefighter Taken to Hospital from Rosedale Roofing Blaze: Officials
Fire at Middle River business required protracted battle, Baltimore County officials reported.
One firefighter was taken to a local hospital from a Middle River building fire that broke out Monday afternoon and continued to burn into the night, Baltimore County public safety officials said.
At approximately 1:36 p.m., Baltimore County firefighters were dispatched to Rosedale Roofing in the 1200 block of Middle River Road and found heavy fire and smoke inside a warehouse, public safety officials reported. Nobody was inside requiring rescue, according to the report.
Smoke billowed from the warehouse, visible for miles around, WBAL reported.

The fire raged on into the evening, with approximately 100 firefighters working to extinguish it from the outside, the report said.
Authorities said that fire commanders brought in heavy equipment Monday night to remove a wall so the building wouldn’t collapse.

Overnight, crews checked for hot spots to ensure the fire wasn’t lingering anywhere, according to WJZ.
One firefighter from Middleborough Volunteer Fire Company who was feeling ill was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, according to Baltimore County officials.
Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area of the blaze due to the firefighting operations and equipment.
Middle River Road was closed between US 40 and Philadelphia Road, according to ABC 2 News.
Among those responding to the blaze was the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which reported that Philadelphia Road may also be closed between King Avenue and Campbell Boulevard; the fire company advised drivers to use Franklin Square Drive as an alternate route.
