County to Close Schools 3 Hours Early Wednesday

Baltimore County officials announced that schools will close three hours early on Wednesday, due to extreme heat. 

No afternoon pre-kindergarten will be held and all afternoon school activities, with the exception of graduation ceremonies, will be canceled. 

High temperatures also led to an , the students' first day back in classes after Memorial Day.

has extended the heat advisory until 8 p.m. Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to peak in the 90s and, with added humidity, could feel much hotter, officials said.
