Crash Closed US 40 in White Marsh Friday Morning
One person was reportedly rescued from crash that resulted in detour on Route 40 west.
WHITE MARSH, MD — Traffic was temporarily detoured on part of US 40 Friday morning after a crash in White Marsh.
Two vehicles collided at approximately 5:30 a.m., resulting in the shutdown of westbound Route 40, according to state transportation officials.
US 40 west was closed between MD 43 and Reames Road for several hours. By 10 a.m. it had reopened.

One person had to be rescued after being trapped in a vehicle, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the crash.
