Della Rose's Celebrates Start To Orioles Season With Oriole Bird

A White Marsh bar is hosting the Oriole Bird and a former O's player to kick off the season.

NOTTINGHAM, MD (UPDATED) — Della Rose's Avenue Tavern hosted the Oriole Bird and a former Oriole Friday night for the first "O's Zone" event of the season.

Former Orioles catcher Chris Hoiles was on hand to sign autographs, and the Oriole Bird was available for pictures. Orioles announcer Ryan Wagner asked trivia questions, and fans had the chance to win prizes.

Couldn't make it Friday? Della Rose's is also participating in an Opening Day promotion sponsored by Budweiser, where fans at the bar from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 3, can wan a pair of tickets and a ride to the home opener.

The Oriole Bird and former Orioles outfielder Al Bumbry will make the rounds during the Opening Day promotion. In addition to Della Rose's, four city bars are participating: Pratt Street Alehouse in downtown Baltimore, El Bufalo Tequila Bar & Kitchen in Canton, Wayward Southern Bar & Kitchen in Federal Hill and Das Bier Haus in Federal Hill.

During the promotion, a total of 50 randomly selected fans will win the two tickets and rides to the game.
