The restaurant's new Towson location is scheduled to open on Aug. 18.

Hey Towson, stop hogging the Gino's.

According to an on Towson Patch published Tuesday, Perry Hall residents are feeling a little jealous of the new Gino's restaurant on East Joppa Road, scheduled to open Aug. 18.

The beloved fast food-joint started in Dundalk in 1957 and is named for Baltimore Colts legend Gino Marchetti. Its last Maryland location closed in Pasadena in 1991.

County Councilman David Marks attended the small party on Tuesday and told Patch that the legendary Gino's Giant "tastes like a Big Mac, but creamier."

"It was great and the food was wonderful and I think it's going to be a big asset to the area," Marks said, adding that his Perry Hall constituents had been asking when a new restaurant might open there.
