Downed Power Line Closes Baltimore Co. Landfill

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Eastern Sanitary Landfill was closed on Monday after a power line was downed in the White Marsh area.

The Baltimore County Public Works and Transportation Department said the downed power line was traced to Days Cove Road.

A reopening date was not specified by officials.

Officials redirected residents to drop off any materials at the Central Acceptance Facility in Cockeysville or the Western Acceptance Facility in Halethorpe.

Both facilities are open between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
